I have been experimenting with different fabrics and materials to try and create a large scale fabric sculpture that a person could go into. Through the exploration of this medium I hope to covey the feeling of comfort. The folds and texture of the fabric suggest the notion of wrapping for protection and the shape of the sculpture refers to being enclosed in a safe space such as a shelters or the safety of being in the womb. But as my experiments have progressed I start to understand different ways this work can be formed.  Portraying the need to curl up inside of safe space might be better portrayed with a very small intimate sculpture where that kind of interaction is impossible. I also see this as a performative object as each interaction with it molds the sculpture into a new shape.
